Thomasina
Thom is the absolute matriach of our herd. She is a reserved and peaceful doe.
She has given us five daughters.

Philomina
Phil is one of our largest goats with a beautiful big framed body. She has an 'old-fashioned' pendulous udder that we can hopefully improve with in breeding. She was very wild when she first came and had little handling until she kidded. She was the only goat that did not allow me too close while she was kidding. After this, I felt she needed to be 'gentled' and become accustomed to our touch and presence in the event that something went wrong. I took her kids off her and milked her, bribing and cajoling her to come into the barn with treats and patience. She did all this under sufferance but after two months I am able to comfortably catch and tie her up and work with her. Now that she is back in the paddock, she is the first one at the gate for tea. It is with great satisfaction that I do not feel like an intrusion to her anymore, but a companion.
Phil has two lovely daughters.

Tiger Lily
Tiger has not proved to be the best breeding goat we have, however she is a fabulous milker giving 5-6 litres of milk per day. She is such a beautifully tempered girl and earns her keep keeping the household supplied with milk.

Marguarita
We have two sweet daughters from Marg, Maya the sensible one and in kid to Manfred.
And Mhindi, a cheerful happy little one.

Netherbrae Milly
Milly is currently the house milking goat. She has disappointed us as a breeding goat in failing to have one live kid, but has such a personable nature that I guess she can hang around a bit longer....
She is a wonderful foster mother and has been known to steal other kids for her own.
