Yin and Yang are the Guardians of the Gate. Our regal pair of Chinese Geese keep the pasture at the entrance immaculatley clipped and are extremely vocal whenever someone approaches. They are fiercely protective of the property but are a welcome sight every time we come home. We would love to have a gaggle of geese, but these guys decline to share their patch of turf!
We love our Indian Runner Ducks!! They are so bizarre scampering around. They are always busy, busy, busy... Those bully geese try to keep them in their place, but they just run away and slip through the fence and go on their merry, busy way. Gotta love those duck eggs...mmm...
Homewards - It's Teatime!
Well really, in fact the chooks don't get out that often, they are very naughty and always head straight for the vege patch or the flower garden. But this day was such a wonderful sunny autumn day that I didn't have the heart to leave them in the coop. And they bolted! Off, Be Free!
